Welcome to CAGBASH XVIII at Cincycon!
It is with great excitement that we welcome you to Cincinnati’s longest-running Warhammer 40K tournament. For 18 years, CAGBASH has brought together players of all skill levels to celebrate this incredible hobby. However, this year, we gather with heavy hearts as we mourn the loss of a dear friend and Battle Brother, Robert Simpson, who passed away in January. Robert was a dedicated player, a fierce competitor, and, most of all, a beloved member of our community. His passion for the game and camaraderie will never be forgotten. Let’s honor his memory by embracing the spirit of fair play, fun, and friendship that he embodied.
Cincinnati Arsenal Gaming (CAG) is committed to fostering a welcoming environment for all players, whether through local game stores, charity events, conventions, or friendly battles at home. We assemble, paint, display, and play our miniatures while sharing tales of epic victories and crushing defeats. Our community thrives on mutual respect, good sportsmanship, and a shared love of the game. We encourage all participants to embrace this spirit throughout the event.
Honoring Our Fallen Battle Brothers
The Ian Villamagna Best Painted Award
Named after Ian Villamagna, an exceptional painter and mentor, this award recognizes excellence in miniature painting. Ian’s enthusiasm for the hobby and his willingness to help others grow as painters left a lasting mark on our community. We honor his legacy by celebrating the artists who bring their armies to life with skill and creativity.
The Eddie “The Warboss” Draper Axe Trophy
This prestigious trophy honors Eddie Draper, a beloved hobbyist whose impact on the community was immeasurable. CAGBASH was a second home to Eddie, and we proudly continue his legacy. The recipient of this award will be chosen based on a combination of the ITC Hobby Track Painting Rubric and Best Sportsmanship, representing the qualities of a true Warboss. Let’s give Eddie a resounding Waaagh! in his honor.
Objective Markers for Bob
We will be honoring Robert “Bob” Simpson with our Objective Markers this year. We will be honoring him fully at Gen Con this year as he was instrumental in many events there with us.
